MOSSY FOREST
Mossy Forest. There is a boardwalk at the top of Gunung (Mount) Brinchang which takes you through the Mossy Forest. This reserve is unlike any other in peninsular Malaysia: Its base is covered with a thick carpet of moss. Most of the trees here have remained untouched for centuries. About 200m after entering there is an observation tower offering splendid views over the surrounding mountains (or unfortunately sometimes just mist). Be prepared to spend a considerable amount of time exploring this place. In February 2019 the board walk was under renovation. Although it is still opened, parts of it can be inaccessible depending on the construction works. According to a local guide, after renovation (which is expected to be in March 2019) visitors will have to pay an entry fee of 30RM.
