Amazing and creative ice cream. Salt & Straw has a few locations in Portland and has expanded to a few other cities. This is their original shop, they started out with a cart on Alberta St. before opening this store. They have their regular line up of flavors (try the olive oil, it sounds weird but is so good!) and Every month they have a special theme menu. The line can be quite long but it moves pretty fast and they let you sample as many flavors as you want.

Great coffee on Alberta. They literally melt chocolate into their Valhrona mocha if that is up your ally. They have a few other locations around the city as well. - Note they recently were renamed to Roseline but it's still the same :)

Great way to get spectacular views of the city. Take the tram up to the top and enjoy the scenery. Round trip on the tram is $5.10 per person but kids 6 and younger are free.
