One of our favorite restaurants. Lots of great, fresh food. I like the salmon and Julie likes the Sweet Potato Noodle dish. They've got wonderful sweets as well.

Best Italian restaurant in Portland. We love this place. Get a brick-oven pizza. Don't miss the Fruit Crisp... it's amazing.

You've probably purchased one of Bob's products. Milwaukie is the home to his mill, as well as, the company store and restaurant. We recommend going there for breakfast. Sometimes you'll see Bob there. He shows up unannounced and surprises his employees.
He'll show up on his birthday and play the piano too!
And yes, Bob really does wear that hat!!!

You'll find one of the oldest amusement parks on the west coast, Oaks Park. They've got a great old indoor rollerskating rink with an organ, rides, and carnival games.
Sellwood has some great restaurants along 13th Avenue. One of our favorites is Jade Bistro.

Rail to Trail walking thru the neighborhoods.
This rails to trails project is right outside our front door. In fact, our street had trolley tracks going down the middle of it until 1969 when the trolley from Portland to Oregon City was decommissioned.
The trail was established in 1992 and is a multi use path for bikes and walkers. You'll find us out walking on the trail everyday getting our 15K steps in.

The wind surfing and kite boarding capital of the world. Fun to watch. Great local breweries, and food haven. Lovely, hilly town overlooking the Columbia River and Gorge.
While you are there, cross the river and go white-water rafting on the White Salmon River.

Known for its Haystack Rock and picturesque vistas. Great hike up to Ecola State Park. Always bring a jacket. Even the 4th of July sometimes requires a warm jacket! Arch Cape down the road.

Brand new library that is a wonderful open space. They've got a room just for little kids. It's magical. We highly recommend just checking it out.
