Ålesund is one of the most beautiful cities of Norway (in my opinion). Most of the city burnt to the ground in 1904 and was rebuilt in a beautiful Jugend style. Located on beautiful islands close to the ocean, a great spot to visit for restaurants, sightseeing and some city life.

Alesund
Ålesund is one of the most beautiful cities of Norway (in my opinion). Most of the city burnt to the ground in 1904 and was rebuilt in a beautiful Jugend style. Located on beautiful islands close to the ocean, a great spot to visit for restaurants, sightseeing and some city life.
Our second largest city in the area, about 26 000 in population. Molde was bombed in airstrikes during WWII and functioned as the capital of Norway for a short period of time when the Royal family gathered here. Amazing view from the city where you can spot 222 mountain tops. During one week in July the city comes to life during the Molde Jazz Festival. Check their pages for concerts and program.
