So many options, so little time. Rehoboth Beach has a robust food scene that has you covered from Boardwalk fries to fine dining. Here are some of our favorites.

8 N. 1st Street. This family run pizzeria is pure Italian-American beachside fun; the original’s entrance is on 1st Street and the separate sports pub is on Rehoboth Avenue. Try the Nico-boli with extra sauce fresh-cut French fries. Just one block from the beach, it’s a great place to go to get out of the sun, enjoy the air conditioning, and grab lunch.

About a fifteen minute drive from the condo in Lewes. Casual eatery/brewery with lots of outdoor seating and a large area for kids to run around. Really good beer and fantastic nachos.

If you have kids, its especially fun as it’s a working dairy farm so lots of cows and a cute little play area. Just be warned that depending on the wind direction, it can be pungent. Ice cream is ridiculously creamy and super cheap. Hand packed pints are a great value if you bring a cooler.

Beach Parking - avoid the crowds
So let’s get to the reason why most of you are here. Since our unit has a coveted in-town parking permit, it’s quite convenient to park right in front of the beach in town resident (non-metered) street spaces. Please note, spaces do still tend to fill up after 9:30am in the summer season. Here are the directions to our favorite spot:
Take a right out of condo driveway onto Rehoboth Avenue
Make your first right in the traffic circle onto Columbia Avenue and follow to the end
Make a right onto Surf Avenue
Make your first or second right onto Park or Oak Avenue for beachside permit parking

Shaded Park and Playground
A two-minute walk from the condo up Rehoboth Avenue away from the ocean, you will find a shaded park and play area. This is a great option for a beach break with kids and borders the Chamber of Commerce. In season they hold a Farmers Market on Tuesdays from 11 – 3.
