Food scene
This is near the stockyards and has great restaurants, shopping and bars as well. Boomer Jacks is good. We are known for tex-mex food, so I really like Chuy’s as well.

Pecan Lodge is located in Deep Ellum which is located just outside of downtown Dallas. I’d recommend visiting Upstairs Circus or Dallas Aquarium and enjoying lunch/dinner at Pecan Lodge. All of these are in close proximity of each other.

Pecan Lodge
2702 MainPecan Lodge is located in Deep Ellum which is located just outside of downtown Dallas. I’d recommend visiting Upstairs Circus or Dallas Aquarium and enjoying lunch/dinner at Pecan Lodge. All of these are in close proximity of each other.
Arts/Food/Entertainment
The lively Deep Ellum entertainment district is known for its vibrant street murals, quirky art galleries and long-time concert venues for indie and blues. Brewpubs, cocktail bars and Tex-Mex eateries draw a boisterous crowd on weekends, while edgy, experimental drama dominates the program at the time-tested Undermain Theatre, in a warehouse basement. The Deep Ellum Brewing Company offers tours, tastings and events.
- Tons of restaurants, bars (some with live music). You can’t come to Texas and not try some good BBQ. I recommend Pecan Lodge. The food is amazing but the line gets long (that’s how good it is). If you go during the week, it shouldn’t be too crowded. Deep Ellum is really lively on the weekends.
- Upstairs Circus - DIY workshop meets bar. Great place for a date or group/family event. I would check this place out then have food at Pecan Lodge.

Neighborhoods
The Dallas Aquarium and Perot Museum are great to visit during your visit. The kids will love both of these. Also, the JFK Memorial is a main attraction.

Renting Car or Ride Share Apps
DFW is widely spread apart. However, most places outside of Arlington are within a 15-20 minute drive. I’d recommend renting a car or using ride share apps. If you’re in town for an event at AT&T/Globe Life, then you’re within a mile distance (about a 10 minute walk).
