This is another great area only a couple of miles away. It's got numerous bars, restaurants, and breweries. It's also only a few stops from uptown on the lite rail.

Uptown has a lot going on. It's a fun place to walk around and has just about anything you can imagine as far as food and drink. The younger crowd usually goes to the Epicentre.

Sightseeing
For a relaxing day take a tour through the botanical gardens. It's not that far up I-85. I would suggest stopping in the town of Belmont for lunch at Sammy's.

If you're looking for a great place to hike with the best views of Charlotte this is the place. It's going to take about a half-hour to get there but it's worth it.
