Hidden away in the hilltops of Ardales National park, Bobastro was originally built by the Romans then later rebuilt by Umar Ibn Hafsun in the 9th Century. It offers a nice walk with great views of the local mountains and the during the evenings it's the perfect spot to watch from the tawny vultures return to their nests.

Malaga is often missed off the cities that you wish to visit in Andalusia, which is a great shame. It offers so much to do: city markets, beautiful beaches, historic monuments, art museums and street art, botanical garden or rooftops offering magnificent view over the city or the coast. While you're there make sure you try its fresh fish feast while sipping on one of the local wines . There are also many colourful fiestas during the year.

Ronda is one of the most beautiful cities in Andalusia. The Puente Nuevo over the Tajo Gorge, the Arabic Baths and the Bullring or the Mondragon Palace are one of the places that I'm sure you'd visit. But if you have the time and also wish to explore outside the city, make sure you include the Acinipo Ruins, The Cats Cave or just join one of the wine tours of the region.
