Outdoor Activities
Walk along the canal starting at the Savannah River Rapids. This is a great place to go for a morning walk, a run (it goes all the way to downtown Augusta!), or a nice bike ride.
Additionally, there is a kayak rental place at the rapids. You can rent kayaks, float/paddle down the canal all the way to Lake Olmstead, and then they drive you back to the start!

They host multiple promotions during the summer with bobblehead night, fireworks shows, Pimento Cheese Night, and more! Check out Riverside Village and Hammonds Ferry for dinner ideas (Manuel’s Bread Café, Rio Cantina, Southbound Smokehouse)

They hold monthly nature hikes, full moon walks, annual Earth Day celebrations, and art classes.

Parque Natural Pantano de Phinizy

The park contains wetlands and woodlands, and is home to large variety of animals including hawks, great blue herons, bald eagles, frogs, toads, dragonflies, and if you’re lucky you may see an alligator or two! They hold monthly nature hikes, full moon walks, annual Earth Day celebrations, and art classes.

Well, we couldn’t decide whether to classify this as dinner or nightlife - because Sole is great for both! We routinely come down for sushi then stay for drinks. If you’re interested in having a festive night, they clear out table space for a dance floor and beer pong.
