Catch the ferry to Devonport from downtown Auckland. Its just 10 minutes away. You can walk up Mt Victoria there and get great views. Plenty of cafes or park space for relaxing. Nice way to get out on the harbour. Best to get an AT HOP card to pay for the trip (its a bit cheaper with this).

Devonport
Catch the ferry to Devonport from downtown Auckland. Its just 10 minutes away. You can walk up Mt Victoria there and get great views. Plenty of cafes or park space for relaxing. Nice way to get out on the harbour. Best to get an AT HOP card to pay for the trip (its a bit cheaper with this).

Cable Bay vineyard has some casual dining and a beautiful lawn area where you can relax in a bean bag with a drink and enjoy the view of the city in the distance. Its about a 15 minute walk from the ferry.
