Also, nearby, are beautiful rocks along the beach (great for picture taking) and access to 4WD on the beach thru the recreation area (daily rates apply and only 4WD is allowed from dawn-dusk.
Check out the Ft Fisher Aquarium also for a rainy day activity that is family friendly (advance tickets required). Playground located there as well.
