A few suggestions with places we like to go to for a good meal.
Great "kruhki" (sort of pizza rolls), very nice staff, beautiful garden to sit in. Gets pretty full during weekends, so we recommend to book in advance.

Great restaurant, they also serve vegan and vegetarian food. Everybody is kind and helpful, they will also show you energy points.

We love cheese and vegetarian burger the most, their chips with spices and parmigiano are also to die for.

A small village with great lake and surroundings. Look for a spring of natural mineral water - no additives, pure nature. Just for a walk or more serious hiking around. Try to avoid weekends as it may get crowded.

Further from Bled, less city and more nature. Excellent for hiking or just bathing in the crystal clear water of Bohinj Lake. Just make sure you pay your parking as they are very strict about it.

The best way to get there is just walk along the stream. BE CAREFUL though! There are beautiful walks along the Kokra river lower downstream. Our favorite is near village Visoko (some 15 km from the house toward Kranj): when driving through Visoko, follow the sign for Športno društvo Visoko (address: Visoko 67). You will find a path right next to Kokra river. Locals favourite for refreshing in the summer or just for a stroll any time of the year. Explore the woods around there - we find them magical...

Our charming capital Ljubljana. Nice historic centre for a walk or see it from the river in a boat. Or go shoping in one of the shopping centres.
