Head to the Pedernales Electric Company at sunset during December to watch the trees light up. And then stroll through town to take in the rest of the lights. 30 minutes away. Make a pitstop at Pedernales Falls State Park for a hike on your way.

Known as the Texas Wine Country, a great place for wine tours and tastings. In town you will find a main street lined with shopping of all varieties. If you're craving some authentic German food and feel, Fredericksburg will be able to scratch that itch. Oktoberfest and the Hot Air Balloon festival are two of many attractions to base a visit around. My favorite will always be grabbing a late (late) breakfast at the Airport Diner.

Spring is in the air! This is a beautiful drive anytime, but the wildflowers in the Spring certainly outshine the other seasons. A great activity to combine with a visit to Enchanted Rock or Fredericksburg. Or both!

One of my favorite restaurants in the area, known for their fresh and outstanding food, live music, and margarita flights. They get very busy in the evenings and on the weekends, so reservations are highly recommended.
