Historic downtown High Springs is just four miles east of Warbler's Ecocamp, a five minute drive by car or a 15 minute bike ride on the paved 236 greenway. High Springs is known as the "Gateway to the Springs" and features a cute pedestrian-friendly downtown with cafes, shops, and restaurants.

Swimming
Poe Springs is a 202 acre county park adjacent to Warbler's. For a small fee, visitors can experience a second magnitude fresh water spring that is 72 degrees farenheit year-round. Poe is the closest public spring to Warbler's, our guests could actually put in a float at Poe for a short float down to Warbler's Ecocamp. Poe is great for swimming, grilling picnics, and snorkeling.

7450 NE 60th StGilchrist Blue is one of our favorite springs on the Santa Fe River and is a must-see for visitors. The park features several springs including a world class emerald blue 2nd magnitude spring that is excellent for swimming and snorkeling.
Rum Island is a shallow clear blue 2nd magnitude spring downriver from Warbler's and across the river from Gilchrist Blue. This is a great spot for swimming, grilling, and picnics.

The Talented Cookie is the High Springs cafe we prefer for coffee and wifi. Includes a small shop of arts and handicrafts, cozy couch seating inside, and a quiet outdoor patio.

Headwaters is our favorite local restaurant. Great food, great drinks, good people, gastropub vibes, located downtown in High Springs. We often order takeout from here and then bring it to the river for a picnic.

Sightseeing
O'Leno is an excellent spot for hiking, grilling, and large group gatherings. There are so many great trails here, we'd recommend giving yourself a whole day here to hike around exploring the beautiful nature and learning about the history of this CCC-built park.

O'Leno State Park & River Rise
410 SE Oleno Park RdO'Leno is an excellent spot for hiking, grilling, and large group gatherings. There are so many great trails here, we'd recommend giving yourself a whole day here to hike around exploring the beautiful nature and learning about the history of this CCC-built park.
