Food scene
On the same block as your vacation home is "I've Got Your Crabs" If you want real seafood, (Oysters, crabs, clams, local fish) then walk on in. You'll be glad you did. The Black Pelican is also located on the same block and is an easy walk. The Black Pelican is a very nice, semi-formal restaurant.
You can throw a rock and hit this outstanding restaurant, but you won't want to. The food is outstanding and the prices reasonable. Seriously, don't drive, its less than a block away. Or perhaps a more beachy fare? Try Hurricane Moe's just across the street.

If your husband hates shopping, then take him here. This shop has cool stuff and all kinds of unique art work, a garden out back with chickens and rabbits running free. I am surprised they don't charge admission.
