If you're in the mood for a great donut, visit Shipley's! They have multiple locations but the closest one is 6655 Ardmore Street (which has short(er) hours than the other locations). Be sure to visit during the morning/afternoon!

The Main [Street] Train Delay
The Metrorail in Houston runs on the street through Main street (and also Fannin Street in some places), which operates approximately from 5 AM - 1 AM every day (subject to change).
If you're driving or using rideshare services such as Uber, Lyft, etc., then I'd suggest taking routes that avoid directly intersecting with these streets as you may get stopped by the train from passing through.
I've had delays anywhere from 2-10mins.

From what I understand and what I've seen (so far), Houston Downtown still has a big homeless problem that isn't being addressed as quickly as others would like.
If you're ever in Midtown, one area I'd avoid would be the blocks that surround GreyHound and McDonalds.

If you're looking for cheaper and/or alternative options for traveling through Houston, I'd suggest taking the MetroRail and using the links listed below:

The closest rail/line to the loft is the Red Line which can be accessed via Houston Zoo (go to google maps and type in "Memorial Hermann Hospital Houston Zoo, Houston, TX")
