Every beach has its own personality and CB is laid back, friendly, and fun. There is something for everyone here. Whether you love fast food or vegan cuisine, it's all here. The beach at our condo is wide and there is plenty of room to spread out and enjoy. Other outdoor opportunities like nature trails and scuba diving are offered. In the summer the lake park directly across the street offers a farmer's market with local crafts and outdoor movies for free on Sunday evenings!
CB is unlike some other beaches in that there are full service grocery stores, banks, hardware stores, etc. so that you don't have to leave the island for necessities during your visit. Its a very casual, comfortable place to enjoy your vacation!

Part of the NC aquarium system, this is a medium sized aquarium with lots of exhibits featuring local marine wildlife. Check out the family of Otters!

Directly across from the condo, the Lake Park is a great walking loop, a place to visit ducks and geese, a children’s playground, and in the summer the park offers a craft market on every Saturday and free movies on Sunday evenings!

Bars
This is an iconic CB spot. Walk in and choose a beer from the cooler and go out side to the completely unique setting. You’ll see when you get there. It’s what you make it. Have a beer and enjoy the company of your partner or join in a cornhole game or conversation with locals.
There’s also a Pac-Man game and galaga old-school inside for those inclined.
We love it and we think you will, too!

Just .5 mile down the beach from the condo is the coolest spot for having a drink outside and listening to live music on the pier! This was a fishing pier that was partially destroyed in a hurricane but is still over the ocean at high tide. The grill has great food, like fish tacos ( perfect for eating outside by the water) and hand crafted margueritas, along with a full bar.

This is the closest full service restaurant to the condo. We like the fish sandwiches ( ask for extra aioli) and the veggie burger. The regular burgers should be good, too!

This place is legend! Expect to stand in line and pay cash for a hot glazed donut that will melt in your mouth. If you buy a bag full they probably won’t make back on the walk back to the condo.

CB is laid-back, friendly, and fun!
In our small building, we have a nice mix of full-time residents, full-time renters, and some short-term renters like you! The street is quiet compared to some, and you'll be greeted on the street with a hello and a wave!

The beach is free, and there are other free opportunities!
In the summer the Lake Park offers free outdoor movies on Sunday evenings! The Lake offers a walking loop with swings for kids. Carolina Beach State Park and the Fort Fisher Hermit Trail are nature trails. There are also birding opportunities throughout the year.

Park your car and leave it
Parking on the street and lots costs money at the beach, so if you enjoy walking you can get to restaurants, bars, and attractions from our place easily. Everyone's idea of a short walk is different, so if you'll google map a location there is a walking option. For example, when I google map the condo to the CB Boardwalk it tells me 9 minute walk. .05 mile.

We have 4 beach chairs, two boogie boards, a beach cart, towels, a cooler and mats as well as a Shibumi Sun Shade!
