Craft beer

There are over 50 craft breweries in the city limits of Portland and over 70+ in the metro area. Too many to list here. Go explore, be safe, and have fun. Here are some that we like but you don’t have to take our word for it. The first 5 places are about a 5 minute bike ride or 15 minute walk from our place. The next 5 places are about a 10 minute bike ride or 5 or less minute car/lyft/uber ride from our place. The last 4 are about a 20 minute bike ride or 10 or less minutes by car from our place. The last 2 places are bottle shops they are about 12 minutes by bike or 6 by car.
This one is a little out for a walk, 20 min, but only a 7 min bike ride. This place has a large open hall that celebrates beer and what goes with beer? A lot of things but they chose beautiful delicious pizza. They have mastered current trends in IPAs, sours, saisons, and more.

Gigantic Brewing; 5224 SE 26th Ave: This place is a classic example of Portland’s funkiness and craft beer coming together. It is in an industrial area, has a great food cart, and hires local artists to design their labels. Also funky beer yeast makes for a different twist on your usual ales and lagers. This is one of the breweries that put Stumptown on the beer map.

If you are heading up to Ex Novo this is another great spot. The original master brewer of Deschutes started this one, yes the guy that created Black Butte Porter. He’s still creating & shaping the craft beer scene. Solid food as well.
