Montauk is a great place to go to. It is the End of Long Island. Great town and the drive out goes through the Hamptons. Plan to stop along the way but it is a one lane road there and back

This is the Bay so the water is very calm. Great place for young children as there are lifeguards, play area, small restaurant and bathrooms. Typically a band there too on the weekends.
