This is my favorite bar in Wilmington. They often have live music on the weekends, great atmosphere with a mostly local constituency AND there's a Taco stand outside (closed Tuesdays). Bar games out back, and a huge selection of drinks.

Parks & Nature
This is my go-to beach because it's easy to get to and is not usually overrun by tourists. Parking is also free if you get there early enough to get a spot or if it's not particularly busy. To get there, head down Carolina Beach Road for 5 miles. You'll take a slight right at a large intersection to stay on Carolina Beach Road, then stay straight for about 7 more miles. Take a right on Dow Road, you'll see a CVS on the right, Dow Road will be right before that. Three more miles and you're there! You'll see diagonal parking spaces all along the middle of the road and those are all free to you. There are also some free lots if you take a right at the end of this road.

Greenfield lake is within a mile of the Bungalow! It's a local park where you can rent kayaks, paddle boats or just take a walk. It's a 4-mile loop around the lake and there are plenty of places to park. There are tennis courts, playgrounds and public facilities. The loop is about half shade and half sun and there is a water fountain halfway around. I like to go here for a jog sometimes because it's so close!

The Cotton Exchange is a collection of shops and businesses. there is also a ton of great shopping all over downtown. Start at the intersection of Market St and Front St.

Mayfair Town Center is a high-end shopping hub located close to the Wrightsville Beach area of Wilmington. There is a movie theater here and all sorts of outlet shops.

You'll find shops and restaurants all along the Riverwalk downtown. There's also an information kiosk here where you can find all sorts of tour info and local points of interest. Try a horse-drawn carriage tour or a ghost walk!

This is the closest grocery to the Bungalow. It's not a super wal-mart, but you'll find all your essentials here. It's sort of like a Whole Foods Lite. Great Selection of wine and beer as well!
