The quite new ala carte restaurant (Sun hotel premises was bought by Thai investors) is quite good. Nice atmosphere in the resaurant around the huge pool int evenings. More expensive hotel buffet inside the hotel as well

Vibrant restaurant and bar in a backyard. Nice for a hang out and a bit of a mixed crowd (int students, back packers, some tourist and some locals. Food is fine. Good variety menu.

Try a drink or a meal at this posh iconic hotel but walk to the plattform on the river side. Desent and reasonable ala carte meny for a little lunch or a sun set there while watching the falls spray a few hundred meters Down. Walk a path along the river to the Avani hotel and staight to the falls next door.

You got see the the Victoria falls or the Musi o tonya (the smoke that Thunders) in the local tongue. This is the higlight of the trip for may. Best from the Zambia side, we willways clame ;-)

LOCAL market. no tourist so a great place to experience Zambia and way of local life. Just ask a taxi driver to go to Maramba marked and pay 30-40 kwacha and it is easy to go there (10-15 min with a taxi), Smile and open your senses in the market. People are normally very friendly and happy to chat a bit ;-)

Local grocery shop 5 min walk down the road Mutelo road. Good for your basics and works for a quick lunch in the hand with the locals as well. Chicken is just fine here. Baguette as well, if your standards are not to high.
