This place has easy access 4 minutes from Hanes Haus! 441 to Progress Park. Drive through and the park entrance is on the left. Park your car and take one of the fantastic walking or biking trails! Deer, wild turkeys and birds of prey abound in this lush green forest trail that takes any where from 15 minutes up to 3 hours depending on the trail and your speed.

From 7:30 am, enjoy the best coffees, sausage gravy and biscuits, cinnamon buns, muffins, to just name a few. Dine to technological experiences or alfresco in gentle breezes. Bring your electronics and plug it in! Friendly staff and enticing food niceties make this dining experience one of our best! Tea Time Tranquility and treasures offers a classic tea room in a beautiful Victorian mansion on the south end of Main street. Harvest Thyme cafe, offers healthy lunches with wraps, soups and sandwiches. Cod Fathers on Main street has amazing seafood, a full bar and live music! Conestogas Restaurant has amazing food and The Sweet Shop next door will satisfy any sweet tooth with creamy ice cream and candy. Bev's Better Burgers is a long-time staple on Main Street. Their burgers, corn nuggets and seasoned fries have been filling happy customers for decades. Less than a mile away (by I-75) you will find all fast food places such as Mi Apa, Moe's, El Toro, New York Pizza Plus (best daily lunch buffet until 3:00pm hands down!) Pizza in the Hood, 2 Chinese restaurants, Subway, Sonny's BBQ, McDonald's, Waffle House, Zaxby's, Popeyes, Burger King, Wendy's, Ellianos (get the caramel freezer!) Dunkin Donuts, Doxa Coffee, Hitchcox and Publix grocery stores. CVS is on Main street too as well as Walgreens one street over. We always recommend the trip to Celebration Pointe if you're headed to Gainesville and stop in at Kilwins chocolate shop and LA Macaron French Patisserie. Spurriers, Hana Sushi are faves there also! Hwy 441 in Alachua, towards Gainesville has Brown's Country Restaurant for typical southern breakfast or buffet lunch. Turkey Creek has a fabulous golf course and the casual club house serves lunch specials all week. Stay on hwy 441 East and in 15 minutes you will be in the heart of downtown Gainesville. UF campus, and the best Indian food (Tikka Express) Maple Street for a hearty breakfast and heartier still is the famous chicken and waffles at Metro Diner (come hungry) and the line up can be hairy on the weekend (UF hangout). The Dragonfly for Sushi, Harry's for a superb creole lunch or dinner experience with a full bar. Maudes, and the classic Clock restaurant with their early bird specials. Log into Wanderlog for the 50 best Gainesvillle lunch spots too and Yummy house for Dim Sum is a yes! Lukes Bagels (best bagels on the planet-no lie!) Everything bagel (they seed both sides) toasted with cream cheese, lox, red onions and capers is my personal fave. Gotta get there early to stand in line with UF students who are there from 7 am! Blue Agave for best latin food. Chuys for a Mexican dining experience that can't be beat and of course Archer Rd in Gainesville has...everything! Enjoy! :D
