Really good food, family friendly and value for money. We enjoyed an early Saturday night dinner, good choice of tapas starters and main courses of salmon and chicken were cooked beautifully with nice selection of sides.

One of our favourites in the Killaloe / Ballina area. Rustic bar and excellent restaurant tucked up in the East Clare hills above Lough Derg. Beautiful, quiet spot where you can enjoy a drink or meal outside and enjoy panoramic view of the surrounding country side. While the weather is not so kind, lovely cosy bar with open fire to enjoy a few pints and the craic.

Guaranteed a good breakfast and warm welcome in Wood Brothers. And, if you are a rugby fan, you might even get to chat with owner Keith Wood, Irish & British Lions legend and BBC Sports commentator.

Laura's food and baking is just amazing. She catered a summer party in our house and our friends talk about the food she served. Coffee shop is small and cosy with a great selection of savouries (sausage roll is my favourite) and salads. If you are an apple pie lover, Laura's is not be missed.

Drinks & Nightlife

Larkin's is a must visit when staying in Killaloe / Ballina. About 15 mins drive from the house, this is one of the best country pubs and traditional music venues you are going to come across. And the bonus, the bar food is fantastic.
