This place is a must for any aviation enthusiast. There are loads of aircraft here crammed onto a site which is across the road from the Bournemouth International Airport. If you ever wanted to sit at the controls of a jet fighter or take a closer look at a helicopter this is the place to go. All of the exhibits allow hands on close up experiences of the aircraft with local enthusiasts frequently on hand to answer any questions. If you fancy yourself a try at air traffic control you can take a look in the mini control tower which shows active radar pictures of live flights in the area. Check the website for opening times and prices.

If aviation is your thing then this is a must! We took our children a couple of years ago and they loved sitting in old buses, helicopters, planes etc. Plus as you’re right by Bournemouth airport it’s ideal for plane spotting ! ✈️

This is a quirky little museum, it houses a collection of real military and civilian planes (well bits of them) that you can climb inside and explore. Also has lots of flying exhibits including a collection of model aircraft and an area for picnics close to the main runway at the airport in Bournemouth.

Our aim is to provide an interesting and informative visit for people of all ages and to share the enjoyment of the exciting world of aviation Our museum is a truly hands-on experience. We have many interactive exhibits with most of our aircraft cockpits available for you to actually sit inside. From the famous English Electric Lightning to the mighty Westland Wessex Helicopter - all are available for you to view up close. A visit to the museum is a memorable and educational time out. You will learn about the variety of exhibits and their various operational roles as well as getting an insight into the local aviation heritage. Located adjacent to the airport and open daily you are sure to catch a glimpse of the live action right on our doorstep. Once your visit is complete why not visit our shop where we have some exciting ideas of gifts and a heaven for anyone interested in aviation. You can even visit the shop without entering the museum, just in case you fancy browsing the aviation memorabilia.
