Many sports TV's and lots of space and a guy called BRUCE that will make sure you are always being served
Quite the popular place for the younger generation to hang out. It is quite open and airy.
It has a lovely atmosphere, located in the former train station. NO TV's, so you can actually talk with your friends! Local beers on tap. Live music on Friday nights. Check their website.
Recommendation from by my 22 year old son- I'm getting too old. He said this is a good place for a drink on a weekend night.

“Just a short boat ride from the downtown park puts you on a picturesque island with lawns for games, rocky beaches full of barnacles and oysters to explore or swim from, many trails to hike and great views from all directions. The loop trail around the island is a couple of hours of good walking, but well work it for the variety of vegetation, views, and terrain. Bathrooms and a little ice cream cafe complete the deal!”

“Such a beautiful walkway to stroll along anytime of the day or season. I love to watch the seaplanes land and take off whilst sipping on my coffee from the Javawocky Coffee Shop.”

“"The Nanaimo Museum is located in downtown Nanaimo on the traditional territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation. It is a dynamic community facility offering diverse interpretive programming encouraging visitors to “Make a Discovery” while exploring the history and heritage of our area. The museum entered a new era in 2008. Nanaimo’s history was given new life with the construction of our facility in the Vancouver Island Conference Centre, created with the vision statement: The Nanaimo Museum will enhance cultural quality of life, anchor our community and enlighten visitors while nurturing the flow of inspiration through interactive presentation of stories and objects spanning Nanaimo’s history. Today, the museum offers award winning exhibits, popular meeting and reception spaces and a destination Gift Shop. The expanded space has allowed the museum to bring top ranked feature exhibits to our community from the Canadian History Museum, the National Gallery and the Vancouver Art Gallery to name a few."”

“Known by locals as ‘the bungy zone’ there is bungy jumping, high ropes, and more. Even if you’re not interested in jumping yourself, it’s worth the stop while driving by to watch some people jump. ”
