“The Nature Park of Cabárceno is not a conventional zoo nor a natural park. It is a space naturalized by the hand of man, from the primitive beauty of its karstic landscape, on the 750 ha of an old open-cast mine. Life is developed in the most natural environment possible for the animals that inhabit it. It is conceived for educational, cultural, scientific and recreational purposes, having become one of the major tourist attractions of northern Spain. It is an ideal place to spend the day with the family as it has many recreational areas, picnic areas, viewpoints, botanical routes, cafes, restaurants, children's playground etc.....”

“The Palace of Festivals of Cantabria, located in front of the bay of Santander, is an emblematic auditorium that has become an architectural and cultural symbol of Santander of the 21st century. Work of the architect Francisco Javier Sáenz de Oiza, was completed in 1991. Since then it has hosted, throughout the year, an extensive cultural program of its own, attracting the most important personalities of the national and international scene. Its facilities also host important international events such as the International Festival of Santander, the International Piano Competition of Santander-Paloma O'Shea or the Music and Academy Meeting of the Reina Sofía School.”
