Masonboro Island is a barrier island that is 5 mi long and has a pristine beach on the ocean side. This is the most beautiful place in Wilmington. There is no land access to this island. It must be accessed by boat, but having a beach to yourself cannot be beat.

This is a barrier island , long stretches of beach and few people. Great for shell hunting, long walks & swimming. Only accessible by water . Nothing on the island except what exists in nature.
