As if the breathtaking view high in the hills above Playas del Coco weren't enough, the innovative menu at one of the few oyster bars in Costa Rica takes it a step further. Aside from oysters prepared raw, charbroiled, steamed, or fried, there are also sandwiches and sushi. More creative dishes include avocado fries with chipotle dip, lobster grilled cheese, Korean beef tacos, and the ahi tuna sticky rice bowl. The Monkey Head Brewing Company, an on-site microbrewery (which you can tour) produces 17 beers on tap. The cocktails are divine, like the kiwitini or watermelon mojito. Come for happy hour from 3 to 5, and stay until the sun goes down. If you've got your heart set on oysters, come on Tuesday or Thursday when they’re delivered fresh; otherwise they run out quickly. Reservations are recommended during sunset hours.

This is the restaurant to visit in Coco Beach to see the view of the whole region of the beach. Check out their instagram posts. Gourmet food selection and drinks. Reservations are required.

As Seen on Restaurants on the Edge, The Lookout has amazing views and really good food. During the high season be sure to get a reservation because the drive is quite a climb and it can be hard to park and you don't want to go through all of that and not get a table. Prices are on the high side for the area but we enjoyed our meal and thought it was worth it to enjoy the fantastic view.
