If you have the time and desire, this has to be one of the most beautiful hikes in the US. Dress to walk in the river, start from the bottom and walk the mile or two until you walk *into* the shallow river, surrounded by red rock walls. Hard to describe, a must-see for anyone with a love for nature.

Maybe the peak attraction in Zion is the Narrows. This beautiful slot canyon is not an easy hike. You will be in the water most of the hike and be cautious, the rocks are slippery. This is definitely a popular hike and I would recommend getting and early start. Make sure to check bus schedules as early as possible and always check in with the visitors center for water levels and safety information before starting the Narrows.
