The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is one of the oldest zoos in the United States. The zoo has domestic and exotic animals from around the world, including the largest collection of primate species in North America. Cleveland Zoo is a great getaway/sightseeing event and is also one of my favorite places to visit here in Cleveland.

Aquarium
“The Greater Cleveland Aquarium is an aquarium in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. Occupying the historic FirstEnergy Powerhouse building located on the west bank of the Cuyahoga River in the city's Flats district, the aquarium, which opened in January 2012, consists of approximately 70,000 square feet (6,500 m2) of exhibition space and features 55 exhibits over 9 thematic concentrations representing both local and exotic species of fish. The facility is the only independent, free-standing aquarium in the state of Ohio and ended a 26-year period that the city lacked a public aquarium.”

Mercado
“Must visit and shop for food. Walking distance from Cottage. The West Side Market is the anchor of Historic Ohio City! The Market has been in operation for more than 100 years, and is home to more than 100 locally owned, independent businesses and offers a wide variety of fresh meats, cheeses, poultry, seafood, produce, baked goods, spices, ethnic specialties, prepared foods, flowers, etc. While it is a tourist spot, it is not one of those weird public markets that only sells expensive produce and tourist goods. It still visited by locals daily...we still shop there often! Open Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Take the stairs by the W. 25th entrance to the balcony to view the entire market - great people watching :)”

Centro de artes escénicas
“If you're not seeing any plays while you're in town, drive through at night just to see the huge outdoor chandelier. We do get lots of great shows though, so it never hurts to check one out.”
