The Salto do Cabrito waterfall is one of the most beautiful and well-known waterfalls on the island of São Miguel. It is located in the municipality of Ribeira Grande, relatively close to Lagoa do Fogo and the Caldeira Velha Natural Monument. It is a waterfall with about 35 meters of altitude. Its access can be done on foot or by car. This waterfall is one of the hidden natural beauties of Ilha Verde. Its waters are crystal clear and fresh. The landscape is amazing and breathtaking. In this area you can also do the Salto do Cabrito Trail starting and ending at Caldeiras da Ribeira Grande. During the trail you will be surrounded only by the green and wild nature of the interior of São Miguel.
