Cool off in refreshingly chilly water during the heat of summer. Spring fed from underground so the water is always 68 degrees F.
One of the best natural swimming holes in Texas - and a great place to picnic and swim. Located in Austin.
Unless you enjoy crowds, try to go during the weekdays. Water stays at 68 F year round. Natural pool it’s one of my favorite attractions in Austin.

“Zilker Park is where ACL happens, where a great Zilker Christmas Light Show is, where the Stevie Ray Vaughn bronze is. Close enough to Casa Willow and Holly Neighborhood. Google what is happening at Zilker when you come.”

“You may not want to see a movie on vacation, but if you do - THIS is where you should go. You can walk there through the West Bouldin Creek Greenbelt (warning, you DO have to cross train tracks), but may be too tricky at night. Also, a short drive.”

“The pink-granite building is the centerpiece of downtown Austin, perched on a hill at 12th Street and Congress Avenue. Free guided tours are held daily, starting in the South Foyer, but brochures are also available on the first floor for self-guided tours. The Texas Legislature meets every two years, so you’ll have to check the schedule if you want to see an actual session in progress.”
