The Oak Island Lighthouse is located in the Town of Caswell beach near the mouth of the Cape Fear River. Featuring four 2.5 million candlepower aerobeacon lenses which produce four, one-second bursts of light every 10 seconds, it has a luminous range. It is a must see while in Oak Island.

A very cool spot for families to visit while in Oak Island. Learn a lot of history and turtle preservation information while exploring the area.

A younger lighthouse, this stop is worth it if you enjoy a low-key attraction away from the beach. When open, you can go up into the lighthouse and learn about the history of the building. This makes a nice day trip if you include stopping at a local place for lunch.
