Herons at the Heriot Bay Inn has a great patio, with views of the Heriot Bay Marina and the Cortes ferry. The food is decent. The servers change each season, so it is difficult to tell what you will get.

Experience this century old waterfront hotel, stroll the docks, and enjoy the food.

The ferry trip over to Heriot Bay is worth it.. maybe you will see whales! First drive to Rececca Spit, and enjoy a walk along the beach on the wild side or the walk along the bay and take a look at all the yachts in the Summer. Have a swim, take a look at the driftwood art at the campground office & then head to Heriot Bay Inn for lunch/ dinner. You will not be disappointed.

Take a walk along the harborside property or enjoy a game of outdoor chess. Weather your stopping in for a cold beer at the pub or planning a dinner overlooking the harbor on the patio the Inn is a great choice for anyone. If your wanting to see one of my favorite sunset spots well this is it!
