Focus on the history of the place and the people. You can buy a day pass good for Flavel House, the Oregon Film Museum, and the Heritage Museum (at any of the venues), all worth seeing for a good deal.

Another one of Astoria's fine museums located in the stately Queen Anne Victorian home of the first prominent Columbia River bar pilot captain George Flavel. Lots of local history to be learned about here, as well as a look into how wealthy individuals lived in the late 1800s. Too neat to pass up!
