“Beautiful area and nature reserve with a view of the beach and sea on one side and Christchurch harbour on the other. There are large fields, a walk up the head itself. There is a cafe/restaurant on the spit beach and also another cafe at the car park. The visitor centre has a small garden outside and cameras showing nesting birds (great place to fly a kite - it's always windy!)”

“Shelley Theatre is a 150 seater in Boscombe, just half a mile from Southbourne. It provides a variety of entertainment for all tastes and includes comedy nights, film, live music, performance and dance. The theatre was built in the 1860's by the famous Shelley family, intended to be the home of Mary Shelley, author of Frankenstein. Today the whole aim is to bring people and performance together, whilst renovating the theatre and and it's other public spaces at the same time. ”
