Very relaxing place surrounded by lots of nature in spite of the location of middle of Tokyo. You can walk and do cycling here:)
Yoyogi Park is the fourth largest urban park in Tokyo. It is separated by a road into two sections: the forest park A section and the contrasting B section with stadium, outdoor stage, and other facilities. The site was once a military parade ground. After the war, it was used as the Washington Heights U.S. army barracks and the Olympic village for the 1964 Tokyo Olympics before being opened as a park. Trees that were still young when the park was opened have grown today to form a dense green forest along with those of Meiji Jingu Shrine. Water scenery facilities composed of three large and small fountains 15 to 30 meters tall and a water circuit were completed in May 1990. Thus, the park was reborn, further blessed with water and greenery.
