This is the closest beach to us, its stony but has a great childrens play area and lots of room to run about. It has a good cafe but gets quite busy.

A stony beach that forms part of Lepe Country Park, situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Views across to the Isle of Wight and excellent coastal walks featuring pine-fringed cliffs, D-day remains and wild flower meadows. The main swimming area is a short walk east of the car park. Postcode SO45 1AD

Approximately a 25 minute drive away, this stony beach that forms part of Lepe Country Park, and is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty. On a clear day, views across to the Isle of Wight and excellent. Other attractions include coastal walks featuring pine-fringed cliffs, D-day remains and wild flower meadows. There is a cafe and toilets. Swimming is possible but there is no life guard.

Enjoy a view very similar to the one admired by Queen Victoria when she visited the area as a Princess in 1833. (Her husband likened the views in this area to those in the Bay of Naples.) Given that Lepe is one of the few beaches on the south coast with wild, natural land behind it, it’s easy to understand why.
