Unique place that sits out in the middle of the swamp between Lakes Pontchartrain and Maurepas. You can eat on the deck, weather permitting. I recommend you drive old 51 on the way out so you are right at swamp level, and highway 55 back so you are on the elevated road- both give great views of the natural beauty of the area. They serve lunch/dinner but not breakfast.

the most incredible thin fried catfish. Many places in nola try to emulate there catfish but they are the one and only originals and its deff worth the drive if you have that need for the best fried catfish on the planet
