Dominion Road has some fantastic Asian cuisine and it is inexpensive.

Really cheap. Great for takeaway or sit-down food. Try the dumplings. If it's full don't worry there are dozens of other Chinese restaurants on this stretch of Dominion Road. It's Auckland's unofficial Chinatown.
