Fine yellow sand and can be busy at peak times. Don’t miss The Noisy Lobster cafe at Avon beach nearby – it’s great.

Park at Highcliffe Castle and walk down to the fabulous sandy beach and then towards Avon Beach huts and find the Beach Hut Cafe inbetween the huts for lunch.

In the 10 years that we have been coming down to our holiday lodge this year is the first time we have visited Highcliffe Castle Beach. It’s such a beautiful spot, a lovely sandy beach to walk along. Big car park behind Highcliffe Castle , then steps or a zig zag ramp/pathway down to the beach. The last time we went we walked towards Avon beach and stopped at the cafe on the way, about a 20 minute walk. Lovely coffee & lots of choice of ice creams!

Great Sandy, swimming and surfing beach with car park, Cafe, restaurant with sea views and WC facilities.

11 miles from Lyndhurst this is a shingle and sand beaches ideal for bodyboarding and bathing, plus numerous promenades and cliffside paths to explore. A series of slopes & paths lead down to beach level. Many paths are gravel. Access at the eastern end via Chewton Bunny is mainly on tarmac paths. There is café is on the cliff top next to car park and more shops and cafés on Highcliffe high street. Take a walk along the cliff top and stop at Highcliffe Castle with its delightful tea rooms. There is a large pay and display car park on Wharncliffe Road and some on street parking.
