Ancient carved chalk monument & fort with stunning views of the surrounding countryside alongside the Ridgeway ancient chalk trail & Waylands Smithy 4000 year old burial ground.
The Uffington White Horse is the oldest chalk carving in the country, dating back almost 4,000 years and unlike any other White Horse you are ever likely to see. Stunning views from the top of the hill towards Oxford and the Cotswolds.
Walk along to the famous White Horse which is up to 3,000 years old! With amazing views for miles around, it is well worth the trip.
This is where the Uffington White Horse is situated. It is carved out of the chalk rock on the hillside just next to an Iron Age Hill Fort - Uffington Castle. Wonderful views, a great place to walk. Great place to fly kites! You only pay for the car park if you are not a member of the National Trust.
