Micro-brewery with a nice courtyard and interesting beers: lots of sour, dry-hopped, and barrel-aged options. Has a rotating list of food trucks on the premises most nights. Short walk from Bacchanal.
Parleaux Beer Lab is a destination neighborhood taproom and micro-brewery located in the Bywater. Small batch, locally produced beers with imaginative interpretations of iconic beer styles. Nice big yard with pop-up food options.
One of the better breweries in town (in my opinion). They tend to have some of the most imaginative beers & their taproom is family-friendly!

“Authentic German food and atmosphere. The grilled vegetables and mashed potatoes with gravy are my favorite. Try some German beer or a pretzel. Friendly, cozy atmosphere with outdoor seating. Close to Crescent Park (on the Mississippi River). ”

“Paloma Cafe is a coffee space in the Bywater neighborhood. Its features super yummy breakfast tacos and yucca fries in a quaint Bywater setting. The best part of being an adult is selecting the desert for breakfast, like Tres Leche French Toast. Meat lovers may add fried chicken. ”

“Quintessential New Orleans Bar! Don't let the seedy environment detour you from this casual, comfortable Bywater hangout. Vaughan's is one of the best dive bars in town, brought to local infamy by Kermit Ruffins; regular Thursday night gigs. Kermit retired last year from late night shows, but Vaughan's is still home to funky live jazz every Thursday night. The bar is friendly, drinks are strong and well priced and the crowd is usually more locals than tourists. Vaughan's is off the beaten path, although not as far afield as it was even five years ago - the Bywater is booming. Grab a taxi or Lyft to get to this Bywater bar from the French Quarter. There's a cover, but only on Thursdays.”
