The town's Strawberry Garden is named after the Eperfás grove here. In the last century, a Master's School of Painting was opened in its territory under the leadership of Gyula Benczúr, followed in 1887, five years later by the Károly Lotz School of Painting and the Alajos Stróbl School of Sculpture. The first building was built in 1884 as the studio house of Gyula Benczúr, followed by the studios of Lotz and Stróbl.

Epreskert Art Colony was an artists' colony in Budapest in the last decades of the 19th and the first half of the 20th century. Most of the biggest figures of hungarian art had at least once a corner here. Now a wild garden and a gallery owned by Hungarian University of Arts, showing both works of the old masters and the new generation. A beautiful hidden spot for art lovers and seekers of uniqueness.
