“Nauticus inspires and educates with engaging & interactive experiences that celebrate our connections with today's maritime world. It is a contemporary museum that uses the natural setting of Norfolk's harbor to showcase global maritime commerce and the world's largest Navy. Touch a shark, learn about marine life, explore naval history, catch a 3D educational movie, and climb aboard a battleship. ”

“This is a neat and really large venue. It's a brewery in a remodeled warehouse but they often host interesting events as well. There's a tasting room, a stage for live music, picnic tables, food trucks in the parking lot, and more. It's particularly nice in the warm weather. Check their website for the events schedule to see what they are up to during your visit. ”

“USS Wisconsin (BB-64) is an Iowa-class battleship, the second ship of the United States Navy to be named in honor of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. She was built at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and launched on 7 December 1943 (the second anniversary of the Pearl Harbor raid), sponsored by the wife of Governor Walter Goodland of Wisconsin. A beautiful walk, about 15 minutes and under a mile, through historic Ghent.”
