Friendly pub with nice garden and delicious food, relaxed atmosphere. You can make an afternoon of it by walking from the boat - an hour each way, but well worth it for a cold pint and tasty food to keep you going. The walk takes in the Earth Trust grounds, Wittenham Clumps, crossing the river at the lock and then take in Dorchester Town allotments where you can purchase locally grown flowers and produce en route.
