Always a favorite. Could be tricky to get to if the weather is bad. Be sure to check the roads through Glenwood Canyon.

The ski town of Vail is about 60 minutes east of Glenwood Springs on I-70.

This is why you came! World-class skiing and snowboarding. Make sure to reserve your ski days ahead of time. Tubing also available for the non-skiers out there.

We suggest you purchase Epic Day passes in advance so you can reserve the dates you want to be on the mountain. Access will be limited due to COVID-19, so reservations are highly encouraged.

“The ski resort has dry and light snow, with an altitude between 8500-11500ft. It is also the least crowded ski resort in the I-70 corridor, being 1.5hrs from Denver. This keeps most of the day trippers away, yah! Powder stashes abound, and there are a few touring gates to leave from and explore out of bounds areas. There is also a free ice rink in the center of the village, and xc skiing trails on the golf course below the village. The absolute best place to eat is The Golden Eagle right next to the ice rink. The food is always great, the service is fast and it's cheap. Book ahead on the epic dining app. People talk about Beano's, which is one of the most expensive places on the mountain, but don't bother. If you're going to spend a few bucks, then Splendido is... Splendid!! There are 3 great pubs: .Dusty Boot is busy, cheap and loud, perfect for party peeps; .Coyote is busy, cheap and fun. Better spot if you have kids. .Revolution is more for those seeking a quiet drinking hole. It’s next to Christie Sports store, near the bus terminal. ”

Restaurante mexicano
“Good decently priced Mexican food. They also sometimes have live music which can be a nice evening event to have dinner and dance a bit.”
