Attractions include hiking trails, beaches, the Civil War-era Fort Warren on Georges Island and Boston Light on Little Brewster Island, the oldest lighthouse in the United States. Georges Island and Spectacle Island are served seasonally by ferries to and from Boston and Quincy.

A good day trip. You can take the ferry and visit multiple islands.

My personal favorite thing to do in the spring, summer, fall. Take a ferry ride to any of the the Boston Harbor islands. Wonderful beaches, great swimming, amazing history, (bunkers, pillboxes, lookout towers, etc left over from WW2. The best way to get out of the city!

Get on the Boston Harbor Island ferries to take a boat out to different islands in the harbor. Do a little online research to pick which island is best for you. George's Island is great for those to want to walk and get exercise. Spectacle is better for those who want to be on the beach.
