Tai Mei Tuk is close to the Plover Cove Reservoir in Tai Po, which is a very popular outdoor recreational site.There are villages and harbour nearby where you can see Tolo Harbour and Ma On Shan.

If you have time, rent and ride a cart or bicycle across the Plover Cove Reservoir, the largest fresh water reservoir in Hong Kong.
