Drive to Aspen on Independence pass in the Summer and Fall (May 31 - Mid November). Very beautiful mountain drive not for the feint of heart. There are drop offs and narrow mountain roads but the views are worth it!

Gorgeous drive but can be a bit dangerous if you aren't careful with all the curves and swerves. Large trucks and commercial vehicles not allowed. Don't forget that the car going down hill has the right of way! Honk lightly if you need to let people know you're coming around the band.

This a a beautiful drive and tops out with a big parking area and short walk on paved sidewalks to some fantastic views.

Absolutely stunning views and incredible drive. Open Mid May until Mid Nov. Go all the way over and visit Aspen on our day trip
